Holidays:
Limited/No Service: New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day
Limited service may be scheduled in advance for the above holidays, for the Special Trip fare.
Fares:
Over 60: Suggested Donation for Boone County trips
General Public: $5.00 one-way, in Boone County
Coordinated School Shuttle: $3.50 one-way (Requires a completed contact information form available at the above address.)
Boone County to Ames: $10.00 one-way
Special Trips: Please call for rates and availability
Des Moines Shuttle: $10.00 one-way on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (additional trips within Des Moines are $10.00 each)
Jefferson Shuttle: $5.00 one-way
Cancellations:
Ride cancellations must be called in to Boone County Public Transportation at least 30 minutes in advance of the scheduled pick-up time or the passenger will be charged for the trip.
New Boone to Jefferson Service:
Now providing public transit service between Boone and Jefferson.
Each weekday morning, a bus departs Boone at approximately 7:15 a.m. and arrives in Jefferson at 8:10 a.m. The bus returns to Boone at 9:00 a.m.
Each weekday afternoon, a bus departs Boone at approximately 2:30 p.m. and arrives in Jefferson at 3:30 p.m. The bus returns to Boone at 4:30 p.m.
Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.
This service is open to the public and is wheelchair accessible.
