What is Mobility Coordination?
Mobility Coordination utilizes local public transit and planning agencies as well as human service agencies to coordinate transportation services to improve overall mobility for the general public, with an emphasis on the elderly, low-income persons, and/or persons with disabilities.
The Mobility Coordinator will focus on the movement of people rather than vehicles to ensure choices for the consumer, which includes, but is not limited to the following tasks:

Identifying and developing strategies to attain unmet transit needs in the counties of Boone, Dallas, Jasper, Madison, Marion, Story and Warren. -
Assisting public transit and human service agencies in coordinatation of services. - Developing a travel training program that will allow one-on-one guidenance on how to use public transit.
- Promoting the use and development of a one-call customer information and planning system.
