Thanks to MTM, we have been able to secure a temporary arrangement which will allow HIRTA to continue transporting United Health members under the HCBS program. We will partner with MTM to provide these trips for up to 90 days. We remain hopeful an arrangement can be reached with United Health prior to the end of the 90 days. Any updates will be shared on our blog and facebook. Anyone needing to schedule rides, under this program, should continue to call HIRTA at 1-877-686-0029 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Transit drivers don’t have an easy job, they just make it look that way.
Friday, March 18th is Transit Driver Appreciation day.
You can go to the following website transitdriverday.org and print out appreciation cards. However, a simple smile, wave and a THANK YOU will also let them know you appreciate what they do!
In Jasper, Marion, Story and Warren Counties, over the past 3 months HIRTA has averaged 997 NO-SHOW's per month. This is very costly, as well as, an inefficient use of resources. Therefore starting next week, anyone with an excessive number of no-shows will be receiving a Warning Letter. If after the Warning letter, the behavior of no-showing for trips does not improve, we will start enforcing temporary suspensions. We encourage everyone to cancel trips in advance and work with our Customer Service staff to help us reduce no-shows.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call our Customer Service department Mon-Fri 7am-4:30pm 1-877-686-0029.
HIRTA will be hosting a summit with the new Medicaid MCO's / Brokers. The intent of the meeting will be to educate staff of Medicaid members on the new process for scheduling rides, making changes to schedules, rider expectations, what happens if a trip is missed, etc.
There will be representatives from Logisticare, Access2Care and Amerihealth-Caritas available to answer questions. Due to limited seating, only one representative from each organization will be invited to attend. Registrations must be completed by Noon on Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016. You can register by clicking HERE .
Due to decreased visibility, Story County will be in-town services only today.
