Rides Within Ames: 6:30 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Saturday, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. Sunday

Summer Hours Within Ames: 6:30 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Rides Outside Ames: 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday

Hourly Rides: Available upon request and availability of Heartland's services

Holidays:

Limited Services: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve

No Service: New Year's Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Fares:

$5.00 one-way, $0.25 - $5.00 for low-income - prior approval required

Personal attendants ride for free.  Companions ride for the same fare as the passenger.

Hourly Rates:

$35.00 per hour, $45.00 per hour to the Des Moines International Airport

General Information:

Regular rides cannot be scheduled more than two weeks in advance. 

Hourly rides should be scheduled at least three weeks in advance. 

Ride cancellations should be called in to Heartland at least 30 minutes in advance of the scheduled pickup time. 

Standing orders, or regular, recurring trips, require a completed request form.  Standing order requests will be processed within one week of their receipt and a dispatcher will contact the rider with the scheduled standing order times. 

Dial-A-Ride standing orders will be processed the same day they are received.
